The GSGW 2026 Ficmix is an AO3/Discord-based fanfiction remix event. In this event, fanfiction authors are matched with another author who's written at least three works for the fandom and are asked to reimagine one of their works. This can be accomplished through methods such as (but not limited to) writing the story from a different character's perspective or writing a sequel to a fanfic.

What is a ficmix? It's an event where you take a different author's work and remix it, putting your own spin on it. You can browse last year's ficmix here.Eligibility: You may sign up if you are 18+ and have at least 3 GDCG fics above 1000 words for authors to create from. The fics may be incomplete when you remix them.Guidelines:
You are to remix a different author's GSGW fic, creating a new, standalone GSGW fic to gift to the author you matched with.When posting, your fic must be a standalone, complete fic. You may break your fic up across multiple chapters, but it will all be revealed on the same day.You are free to create a NSFW work as long as the original fic is NSFW.You may ask a mod to reach out to your matched author to request if you could create a NSFW remix of a non-NSFW work.Every work will be anonymous at posting, and will be revealed on September 13th.This event is running on the good faith of each author creating a fic that they believe their matched author will receive well.
